Janice Simpson

Janice Simpson has worked in career education and careers counselling since 1987. She has authored many respected papers and articles, and developed her organisation, Career Kaleidoscope, from concept to products and she continues to work with individuals, organisations and schools to achieve excellent career outcomes. Janice is a professional member of the Australian Association of Careers Counsellors, holds a Masters in Social Science (Career Education) and is a qualified Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) practitioner.

She enables clients to acquire skills to manage lifelong career development, through face-to-face counselling and a range of tools. She works with people who are making career decisions and choices for the first time as well as those clients who are re-visiting their lifestyle and wish to make changes in how they work. She also guides individuals whose life has changed because of altered work practices, illness, redundancy and unemployment.

Janice explores interests, skills, talents and knowledge base along with barriers, and explores ways to overcome them. She devises personalised action plans and develops individual self awareness. This then provides clients with a portfolio of competencies to help with self-promotion having identified skills and any skill gaps needed to move on, pinpointing core values and strengths. She refines and develops innovative ways to move careers forward.

Janice is also an accomplished and highly professional technical writer and Instructional Designer within the learning and development field and has undertaken major project design work for both Government and Corporate applications.

Her work with Karen Dempster & Associates Creating Change as a consultant is specifically targeted to these aims of quality service, and is highly valued.
